One roast, seven counters

We stopped chasing a new single origin every fortnight in 2019. Since then there has been one house espresso, roasted in the Hafen, and it is the same cup in Bonn as it is in Neuss.

Sieben — the house espresso
60% washed Brazil, 25% Colombian, 15% natural Ethiopian. Roasted medium, rested six days, dialled in the same way at every bar.
Roasted at the Hafen
A 25 kg drum roaster behind the flagship counter runs Tuesday and Friday. Nothing leaves the building older than fourteen days.
Same recipe, every bar
18.5 g in, 38 g out, 27 seconds. Every shop grinds to that, checks it three times a day, and writes it on the board.

Allergens and additives are listed on the printed card in every shop, and our team will tell you anything that is not on it. Oat, soy and lactose-free milk cost nothing extra.

From the Innenhafen in Duisburg to the Altstadt in Bonn. Each shop keeps its own hours, its own regulars, and its own queue.

Is the wait time on this site real?

It is as real as a person tapping a button can be. The team at each till sets short, medium or long whenever the queue changes, and this page shows the last setting, refreshed every five minutes. No sensor, no camera, no counting — so treat it as a good guess from the people making your coffee rather than a measurement.

Do you deliver?

No. You can order ahead for pickup from any of the seven shops and collect it at the end of the bar, but nothing goes out on a moped. Coffee does not survive the journey and we would rather see you.

Is the price the same in every shop?

Yes, including the two shops run by partners. A latte is €3.60 in Bonn, in Duisburg and at the Hafen, sitting in or taking away.

Can I bring my own cup?

Please do — you get 30 cents off any drink, in every shop. We also sell a 350 ml steel cup at the counter if you would rather have ours.

Where do the beans come from?

Sieben, our house espresso, is 60% washed Brazilian, 25% Colombian and 15% natural Ethiopian, bought through the same two importers since 2019. It is roasted at the Hafen shop and the bags are stamped with the roast date.
